GETTING YOUR BEARINGS ON FIVE AXIS

A bearing manufacturer asked Tri Tech to machine a casting  that would allow ball bearings to move smoothly down a track during production.  The final design included a challenging 60 degree helix with 5-axis undercut  Tri Tech’s programmers, machinists, and 5-axis machining center created the perfect solution, producing a complicated part while reducing setup time and increasing accuracy
