TRI TECH'S INGENUITY FURTHERS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

A global producer of computer technology asked Tri Tech to assist in the design and manufacture of tooling to improve their production line efficiency. Two critical components, a silicon wafer and its mate – a stainless steel mask, needed to be aligned quickly and accurately. However, rapidly matching up hundreds of tiny holes is a precision exercise, generally tedious and time consuming. Partnering with the client’s engineers, Tri Tech developed and manufactured an automated aligning tool using an x/y coordinate system and magnifying viewfinder to quickly align and secure the two components. The new tool increased productivity, improved quality, and lowered manufacturing costs for the client.
