TRI TECH MANUFACTURES A SANITARY SOLUTION FOR THE US MILITARY

During the development of the ETKS, the Natick Solider Center identified a critical need. For the kitchen to fully meet the in-field needs of the warfighter, protection from bacteria and disease via a Sanitation System was essential. Several prototypes were under evaluation, but none met Natick’s needs, which prompted a call to Tri Tech. Tri Tech was tasked with developing a portable, self contained 3-well sanitation sink for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing equipment and utensils in 180-degree temperature water. In addition to meeting the functional needs of the military, the unit needed to fit within the ETKS for storage and shipment. Tri Tech moved swiftly, developing a fully functional prototype that met every requirement. Following acceptance of its prototype unit, Tri Tech commenced production of the TSSG-1006 Sanitation System, currently the only approved sanitation system for the ETKS.
